![]() Letter From A Bored Member
My nephew started to talk about the NFTs he had just purchased a few days earlier and about the money he hoped to make speculating in this new commodity. I said, "Cool," pretending to know what they were and wishing him luck. As soon as he left, I hit Google in hopes of educating myself and after a few hours, to be perfectly honest, I understand less and don't know if I ever will figure it out. It seems like nonsense but I hear it's a big business. I'll leave it for the young ones.
Not all new ideas can be ignored. The sign pictured above is from the Whole Foods and Peet's parking lot on Montana in Santa Monica. This trial parking program is meant to keep away freeloaders and reserve the parking for customers only. Unfortunately, it takes a moment to get used to and a smart phone is required. If you don't know what a QR code is, we suggest you learn, it's not likely you will be able to ignore this new tech for long.
