VACATION TIPS
Porch pirates are in maximum overdrive. Remove your packages as soon as possible from your front door and have a friend check your house daily if you're planning on being away.
Make sure trash cans are not left out after trash day.
Two cars in the driveway with lots of dust are one indicator you may be away.
If you're home and hear an unexpected knock, answer from inside and say, "we" can't open the door right now. It lets possible criminals know you are not a good target.
Alarms on, windows locked, when you are away, even if it's just a short errand.
Ladder on the side of the house? Many criminals access second floors using items on your property.
People are still leaving items in cars and even key fobs in cars. Please protect your property by expecting the unexpected.
