Permanent Shelter at Armory Center
For the past 10 years the West LA Armory Center has operated a winter shelter for homeless. Now, according to a notice released by the Los Angeles Department of Health Services, a project has been proposed to convert the Armory to a 167-bed shelter that would be considered a low-barrier navigation center with services provided to connect people to permanent housing. Construction would take 16 months and is anticipated to start in 2023.

Rep. Ted Lieu issued this news release regarding the antisemitic flyers that were distributed in Brentwood and Pacific Palisades this week. The police are still working to find the culprits. |
