Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project
Learn more about this IMPORTANT project that could have a lasting impact on our Brentwood community. Join BHA, Brentwood Community Council and the Brentwood Glen Association as we hear from one of the private sector partners working on Option 4 (heavy rail above ground and underground which includes a stop at UCLA) and Option 5 (heavy rail option all underground that includes a stop at UCLA). Both options involve the line going below-ground through the bulk of the Sepulveda Pass area, which would spare the 405 from years of disruption due to the associated work of constructing an above-ground light rail option.

We hope to have the light rail partnership present the above ground options at a future date in order to make an informed decision.
What is the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project?
Metro is currently evaluating alternatives for a high-capacity fixed guideway transit option between the San Fernando Valley and the Westside that would begin in 2033-2035. The northern end of the project would be at the Van Nuys Metrolink/Amtrak station, and the southern end point at the Metro E Line (Expo). More information here.
