Neighbors Thwart Burglary Attempt
Last week, when a Brentwood homeowner left his house with his children, he received a Ring alert notifying him of activity. A quick check showed a burglar casing his house. The homeowner, who is part of a neighborhood network via WhatsApp, quickly sprung into action and texted a neighbor. The neighbor sent an alert to everyone on the group chat, asking for all available adults to go to the house to scare the burglar off. And that is exactly what they did. Knowing your neighbors, sharing cellphone numbers and forming a neighborhood network of your street via WhatsApp or a group chat is an invaluable tool when faced with emergencies such as fire or criminal activity.
This year, BHA's goal will be to make our community STRONG...Brentwood Strong. More information to follow. |
