Tree Trimming and Community Clean Up

Many of you have reached out to BHA as well as Councilwoman Park about overgrown trees in our area, especially the Eucalyptus and other trees near the Brentwood Country Club.  As we all know, overgrown trees are a danger to our community not only because they can start fires when branches hit power lines, but when they topple over onto cars, which is what happened last December on Montana.   As part of her commitment to Wildfire Mitigation, Councilwoman Park has worked with StreetsLA's Urban Forestry Division to address this area near the golf course's need for service.  Please join us to meet the Councilwoman, talk to Urban Forestry and help with clean up on January 27 (see above notice).

Keeping Trees Away from Power Lines

DWP recently sent tree trimming crews to our area to trim trees away from the power lines.  If you are concerned about a tree being too close to power lines or a tree that is dangerously overgrown and may fall, go to MyLA:311 and report it.  Power poles have many wires and lines.  Here's a tip:  the top line is the electrical power line and trees need to be trimmed to six feet below it.  The lower lines are typically for cable and telephone.

2024 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count

This year the homeless count in Brentwood will take place on January 24 starting at 8:00pm.  Use this link if you would like to volunteer.  Wilshire Boulevard Temple Resnick Family Campus will be the meeting point for Brentwood volunteers.
