Flooding in Brentwood

Last night many of our members in Brentwood experienced flooding on their streets from debris clogging drains.  A few called 911 to have firefighters assist in their efforts to control flooding that threatened their homes.  Please report any street or drain issues to MyLA:311.  We are here to help, so please let us know as well so we can assist, if possible.

Prepare for More to Come

With this momentary lapse in rain, check your area for debris that may have fallen that could prevent the flow of water.  More rain is coming today and tomorrow so prepare for any power outages by fully charging your phone and computer (and external batteries).  If you need sandbags, check with our local fire station.

Trash Collection

If you do not have sidewalks, or they were flooded, please wait to put your trash cans out so they do not get swept away in the street. We will keep you updated if anything changes regarding collection tomorrow.

Brentwood Strong

It is at times like this when community matters.  Knowing your neighbors and creating a WhatsApp or group chat thread for your street can be vital during times of crisis, especially for those who need help due to age or illness.  Our goal for 2024 is to make Brentwood Strong through these neighborhood connections!
