Informative Meeting on Security Cameras

At the BHA monthly meeting this past Tuesday, members heard from Flock Safety and Deep Sentinel about how each company's products may be used to protect our homes and community. Flock Safety provides automatic license plate readers and Deep Sentinel provides live monitored surveillance cameras. Other communities have installed Flock cameras to assist in capturing criminals (see this NBC News piece from June 11) by placing them strategically throughout the community. Something that BHA is considering. Deep Sentinel seems better suited for individual homeowners or smaller areas in the hillsides as a deterrent to criminal activity since it can immediately respond to criminals on your property.

BHA will be working with Flock Safety on a proposal to install automatic license plate readers throughout BHA territory that includes the number, placement and total cost of the cameras. Once complete, we will present the proposal and solicit feedback from our membership before proceeding since it would require an additional cost from our members.
