San Vicente Boulevard Improvements
Next Tuesday, in conjunction with LADOT, StreetsLA and the Urban Forestry Department, Councilwoman Park's office will be hosting a virtual meeting to discuss the various projects proposed to improve San Vicente Boulevard. As we mentioned in our annual newsletter earlier this year, StreetsLA will be implementing pedestrian improvements on San Vicente with funding by Measure M. License Plate Reader Update
Many communities have installed license plate readers to assist police in capturing criminals. In response to our membership's concerns and the continued increase in residential burglaries in our area, BHA invited the two leading license plate reader companies to present to the board about their products--Flock and Motorola. Some of the issues to consider are price, location, public vs. private installation, and length of contract. Now that we have heard from Motorola, the board will consider the best way to proceed and then send a survey with information to all our members asking for feedback.
