Update on Repopulation from Los Angeles Fire Department*
A lot of things must happen before repopulation can begin, even in areas not directly impacted by the fire. Multiple agencies are working tirelessly, simultaneously, to make areas safe so residents can return.
The evacuation zone will be broken down into smaller sections, allowing residents to return to some areas but not all. Some will take longer. And it's not something under the control of just the LAFD. We are part of a Unified Command with the CalFire incident management team. We understand and empathize with all of the displaced residents and we are working for you to return. *Follow the LAFD on Instagram for more updates. |
