Important Zone 0 Regulation Update

Thank you to the over 100 members who sent public comment letters to the Board of Forestry regarding the proposed draft Zone 0 regulations.  Unfortunately, at the May committee meeting, very few changes had been made to reflect the concerns we raised.  The next step in the process is for the committee to bring it to the full Board of Forestry for a vote (in the next month).  Once again we need your help to do three simple things.

  1. Spread the word! Tell all of your friends and neighbors in Brentwood, Hollywood Hills, Pacific Palisades, Encino and other communities in very high fire zones to visit our website to learn more about the regulations and access one click emails to our State representatives and the Board of Forestry.
  2. Sign this letter from MySafe:LA to the Board of Forestry that reflects our concerns and offers a common sense solution.
  3. Send a one click email to our State Senator and Assemblymember using the button below.

Special In Person Meeting with Supervisor Lindsey Horvath

Brentwood is part of the third Supervisorial District in LA County that covers 446 miles and two million people.  With a $48 BILLION budget, what do we know about the County budget and its priorities? What services can we expect from the County as the City cuts funding to important City services?

We hope you will join us at a special in person meeting on

Thursday, June 5

7:00pm

Wilshire Boulevard Temple, Resnick Family Campus

11960 Sunset Blvd

Refreshments Served

as we look for answers to questions such as:

  • How will the County's withdrawal from LAHSA affect us and the VA?
  • The County operates the only Health Department in the City of Los Angeles. What are its responsibilities? How does it help us?
  • Supervisor Horvath sits on the board of Metro. What does she know about our transportation and traffic issues and what can be done about them?
  • Can Supervisor Horvath help mitigate current and future traffic from the Palisades Fire recovery effort?
