BHA and Neighbors Secure Long-Awaited Fix for Blighted Home

Construction At Last!

After more than a decade, construction has finally begun at 403 N. Robinwood. Thanks to the tireless efforts of BHA, in close collaboration with the immediate neighbors, the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS), and the City Attorney’s office, the long-neglected, burned-out home at the corner of Robinwood and Kenter is now being repaired. This is a powerful example of what persistence and partnership can accomplish!

SB 79 Threatens the Homes We Already Have

Senator Scott Weiner's attempt to end single family neighborhoods continues with SB79, which would ignore LA's recently approved Housing Element that would add more housing without destroying existing neighborhoods.  The bill is currently being heard in committee.  We will need your help to contact our state representatives as it goes to the full legislature after the summer recess.  To learn more about the impact from this bill, read this opinion piece and watch this short video.
