Zone 0: Still Unchanged—Last Chance to Be Heard
Despite strong opposition, the draft rules remain unchanged. BHA supports reasonable, science-based brush clearance. We oppose unscientific mandates that strip all vegetation within five feet of homes, destroying tree canopy, privacy, and hillside stability. (Read our latest comment letter.) We believe real safety comes from home hardening—ember-resistant vents, Class A roofs, and dual-pane windows--not widespread vegetation removal.
Action Needed Now There is still time to weigh in before final decisions are made. -
