Important UCLA Survey on Palisades Fire Evacuation
BHA is working with UCLA to gather accurate data about evacuation. Your experiences during the Palisades Fire- what influenced your decision to stay or go, how you got information, and what challenges you faced - will directly help design better evacuation systems and alerts for future emergencies. If you were evacuated during the Palisades Fire, please take part in this brief, 10-minute online survey for the Behavior-Centered Wildfire Evacuation Modeling (WISE) project at UCLA.

Homeowner Alert Service (e-Notification) is a free Los Angeles County program that emails property owners within 48 hours whenever a document is recorded on their property (such as a deed, notice of default, or notice of sale). It complements—does not replace—the County’s existing mailed paper notices.
Once enrolled, homeowners receive an email showing the Assessor Identification Number (AIN), document number, recording date, and document title, helping them quickly spot errors or potential fraud. Paper copies of recorded documents are still sent by mail.
Homeowners can enroll any number of properties, including those of elderly parents or dependent adults, by creating an account on the LA County Assessor’s portal and registering each property’s AIN. If a notice appears suspicious, homeowners can contact the Department of Consumer and Business Affairs for free assistance at (800) 593-8222 or homehelp@dcba.lacounty.gov
