DWP Work For Archer Campus
The BHA has just learned of DWP work in conjunction with the Archer Campus development and has asked the council office for an emergency intervention to make sure this street construction plan is the best option. Right now, the work is scheduled 9am to 3pm, Tuesday through Friday and Saturday from 8am to 6pm, for the next 10 WEEKS, and is currently set to start Aug 18.

Burglary Update
LAPD Captain Brian Wendling has communicated some important information about the recent burglary spike in our area. He believes at least some of the incidents have been the result of an organized crime ring operating throughout the State. He urges homeowners to invest in readily available camera systems which detect and alert you to motion on your property. Since most of the break-ins occur from the rear, a camera on the sides or back of your house can provide you an early alert to a crime about to happen and you can call police before something happens. We are still advocating for more police patrols in our area, in conjunction with Mike Bonin's office.

Katsuya Expansion
There will be a Hearing on Aug 15 regarding the application of Katsuya restaurant on San Vicente to expand their premises and continue to sell on-site alcohol. We have received complaints about valet parking in residential neighborhoods, cars double-parked on San Vicente because there are insufficient parking attendants, and the lack of parking spaces in the building garage. BHA will be represented at the Hearing. If you have concerns about the operations of the restaurant or its valet service, please send them to info@brentwoodhomeowners.org.
