Annual Meeting

Thank you to the hundreds of members who came out for our Annual Meeting at University Synagogue this past Monday. Firefighters from Station 19 at Sunset and Kenter were on hand as well as Councilmember Bonin and his team. Coral Tree Cafe served a fantastic spread enjoyed by all and President Ray Klein was thanked for his years of service as he steps down from the lead position next month. Many great sponsors helped with a fun raffle of prizes for those that stayed to the end.

New Signal Coming

The intersection at Bundy and Kenter and Rose Marie Lane will, within the next 24 months, be signalized. Local residents requested a study by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation to determine if there was something that could be done to make it safer for vehicles and crossing pedestrians. While the BHA recognized the problem, we were concerned about creating more congestion created by a four-way stop sign, like the issue in South Brentwood at Bundy and Mayfield just north of Wilshire. MORE

Head South Please

One of the biggest concerns for the BHA about the Veteran's West LA Campus Master Plan is the potential for significant traffic to enter and exit on to Barrington Avenue and subsequently Sunset. The preference would be to direct traffic as it currently does toward Wilshire Blvd, with direct access to the 405. You can read our comments at this link.
