Dealer Ad Plates Now Illegal As of January 1, the State has made it easier for you and law enforcement to identify suspicious vehicles. Cars and trucks must now have either permanent or temporary numbered plates on both the front and back of the vehicle. The dealer ad paper plates on new cars we have seen for decades are a thing of the past. This can be a significant deterrent to crime in our area, so please do your part and make sure all your vehicles have the plates installed.
