Brentwood Run

This SUNDAY, JUNE 9, San Vicente will be the site of some run and some fun! Please visit the BHA booth and meet our board members.

 

Races start from 7:30a to 9:00a for adults and kids. After the races there will be a Block Party including lots of fun activities. There will also be CERT instruction, firefighters from our Fire Station 19 and a children’s WLA Choir. Everyone is invited to picnic on the median and enjoy a fun community event. SAN VICENTE STREET CLOSURE DURING THE RUN:

 

6 am to 10 am - Eastbound (only) San Vicente will be closed from Avondale Ave. to Barrington Ave. (Westbound will remain open from Barrington to the ocean.)

 

5 am to 2 pm - Westbound and Eastbound San Vicente from Barrington Ave. to Bringham Ave.

Bumps In The Road

2018 applications to the City by nearby residents for speed bumps have been approved for the following streets for installation in Fall 2019.

  • Kearsarge (Bundy to Westgate) 
  • Bowling Green Way (Sunset to Bonny)

The 2019 speed hump application window just closed in May. Those requests are being processed now. The next application window opens January 2020. Please contact Councilman Mike Bonin's office for more information.

Bel Air and DWP

For the remainder of 2019, DWP will be doing infrastructure upgrades along Sunset on the other side of the 405 Freeway bridge. This may impact traffic as there will be an intermittent reduction in traffic lanes in off peak hours. We would like to be more specific but do not have any more details at this time.
