Our neighborhood basketball gym is getting an upgrade thanks to the LA Clippers. The small gym used by park leagues for young kids is getting a brand new floor thanks to the local professional basketball franchise. The floor will be adorned with the Clippers log and should be completed in the next two weeks. MEANWHILE, the Park Advisory Board is looking for private donors to help upgrade many aspects of the park including a new turf football/baseball field, a scoreboard, new LED lighting, renovations to the gym to add meeting and event space, etc. YOUR TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation, with naming opportunities, could help kids for decades to come, have a great place to play. Scooter Blight
BHA members, along with communities across the southland, are frustrated by the haphazard introduction and integration of electric scooters. One of the concerns is the way they are parked or laid out on sidewalks and parkways. YOU can help the City develop laws to regulate usage and weed out the companies not following existing rules by reporting illegally parking scooters at THIS LINK. Home Sharing Ordinance
The rules and regulations for home sharing in Brentwood and greater Los Angeles take effect next week. This means anyone trying to rent out part of their home as a short-term rental needs to be registered with the City. Homes cannot be rented out for short periods or appear on sites like AirBnB without being registered. In an effort to prevent home rental businesses from overtaking single family neighborhoods, in most cases, the rental must be the renter's primary residence.
