Thank you to all our homeowners who have supported and participated in our efforts toward a better Brentwood. Throughout the year, we inform you of our activities and occasionally ask you to step in and help. In 2019, we suggested members take a more active role in security at their home and on their block and it resulted in substantially lower crime rates (despite the recent citywide activities).
After the fires, members supported Station 19 in a very substantial way and they received unprecedented funds and equipment. The LAPD Toy Drive and donations to their memorial fund were both enthusiastically received. Perpetual support of both LAFD and LAPD to supplement the City budgets and aid the women and men on the line will be discussed in the coming year.
During the year, on your behalf, BHA also supports the Coral Tree Fund, the Brentwood Library and the Overnight Homeless Shelter.
Like every neighborhood in Los Angeles, we have the challenges of abundant construction, traffic, crime sprees and the occasional neighbor dispute. We also have historically high home values, superb culinary choices, quick access to California beaches, a vibrant boulevard and world-class K-12 schools. The BHA Board will continue a 70 year tradition to make sure Brentwood stays a world-class community.
We wish you peace and health this holiday season.
