We will be updating our Facebook and Instagram pages this week. Please take a moment to click the links below and "like" and "follow" them so you can have an additional means for getting updates and alerts and exchanging information and opinions with other BHA members! Early next week, we will seek more feedback on Scooters!
Leave It. Lose it. LAPD has again reported all areas of crime in Brentwood are down, except thefts from cars. For those who park on the street or even in locked condo garages, the belongings in your car are not safe. You can avoid having anything stolen from your car simply by not leaving anything visible for thieves to take!

Changes To Prop 13? Many members have written us and a quick search of the internet confirms there is a lot of confusion about a measure on the current primary ballot. We have provide a summary and some links that might help.
2020 Prop 13 - Schools Health and Safety Bond Act Authorizes the State to issue a $15 Billion Dollar Bond to improve school and college buildings. This will NOT change the original 1978 Prop 13 and not change your property tax assessment. However, it MAY increase a line item on your property tax bill for schools and colleges.
In November 2020, there WILL BE an attempt to redefine the original 1978 Prop 13. This measure does not yet have an assigned number but will seek to reassess commercial and industrial properties, not single family homes. Please see this website for more details on that issue.
Hope this is helpful. The BHA has not and will not endorse political candidates or issues and leaves it to our members to make their own decisions.
Dinner With Mike Some of your BHA board broke bread with our area Councilperson Mike Bonin to share your concerns and discuss issues important to Brentwood. Homeless encampments, daytime street construction, congestion on Sunset and San Vicente and what's coming in the year ahead. Hear more of what he has to say at our Annual Meeting.
