A Memorial Day Thought...
We would like to thank those who served, with us and in memory, for offering this weekend a refreshed perspective on current events. While many hear the rumblings and grumblings about the inconveniences of staying at home and closed stores, we are reminded it likely does not compare to bullets, bombs and IEDs. We can also choose to remember those who died in this new war against an invisible enemy, including some veterans!
Ideas for memorial day weekend...
- Hang your flag?
- Visit Operation Gratitude and make a donation or send an online postcard to a past or present service member.
- Watch a movie with your family about battles in war or battles for peace.
While on the subject of remembrance and gratitude, thank you members for your annual support, your volunteerism and your emails with helpful suggestions. Stay safe and be well!
