We hate to lose you.

Please help us continue our work during this extraordinary time. Our neighborhood is threatened by legislation moving quickly through the Sacramento that would eliminate single-family neighborhood zoning and allow much higher density on lots like the one next to yours. We continue the fight and need your help, in addition to our day to day efforts on things from street services to utility upgrades and beautification.

Thank you.

Fight For What's Right

The BHA and neighborhood groups across the state have initiated organized opposition to the assault by Sacramento on local zoning plans. Homeowners are rightfully -- for lack of a better phrase -- freaked out at the potential of multifamily units plopped next to their family home. A groundswell from Brentwood Park to our west led to the formation of the BHEC and Liveable California is drawing in groups who need help in their campaigns. Allegations of developer contributions to the champion of lifting local zoning laws, Senator Scott Weiner, have raised questions of his motivations, especially since many of the bills do not really address affordable housing. Our Brentwood Community Council continues to advocate for the homeowner interests. We will continue to keep you informed and fight against this egregious attack on our streets.

Zoom U.

As of now, all schools public and private will begin the fall semester online. Some had planned to open and some were aiming for some creative approaches to a combination of in person and online but State and County mandates due to the spread of the virus are turning the hope into nope.
