BHA Working to Ensure Your Safety

Over the past five months, BHA has been working behind the scenes with AlertWildfire, LAFD and Orange County Fire to review and visit dozens of potential fire camera sites in order to protect our community against future fire events. Today we are happy to announce, in conjunction with LAFD and AlertWildfire, the following camera installations:

  • San Vicente Peak site
  • Mountaingate site
  • Westridge Road site
  • Canyonback Trail site

These cameras are now up (Mountaingate will come online shortly) and running and can be viewed at the link below.

These high definition infrared cameras will provide our community with the ability to not only pinpoint the start of fires with better location accuracy, but more importantly allow fires to be detected in their earliest phase. Every minute counts in detecting fires and these cameras have proven to be highly successful across the state in saving both life and property.

BHA would like to extend a big thank you to Chief Armando Hogan, Chief Terrazas and all of LAFD who have and will continue to be instrumental in monitoring these camera sites and to Neal Driscoll and Graham Kent, founders of AlertWildfire, who have worked tirelessly to get these first round cameras installed.

Fire Safety Townhall

Together with LAFD and AlertWildfire, BHA will be hosting a Fire Safety/Preparedness and Fire Camera Townhall

Wednesday, October 21st
