Single-Family Neighborhood Zoning Under Attack Senate Bill 9 has moved to the State Assembly and is quickly moving toward a vote in the Local Government Committee on Wednesday, June 9 at 1:30 p.m. This bill would eliminate single family zoning across the state, a threat to 7 million homeowners, while not one single unit of affordable housing will be required. We urge you to write a short opposition letter today, addressed to Assembly Local Government Chair, Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, and sent as an email via the committee staffer: hank.brady@asm.ca.gov. If you need some language for your letter, please see the BHA letter HERE. There will be a call-in number to testify by phone on Wednesday. We will send an ALERT once the committee releases a public phone number for you to call in. Things are moving fast!

We will continue to monitor the motion as it progresses through the process. To learn more about the issues raised in our community about using a beach parking lot as homeless housing, please visit the Pacific Palisades Community Council (PPCC) website that lists all letters written by PPCC as well as a letter written by Bonin after his April 8 visit to a special PPCC meeting.
![]() It's The Little Things Last month a member wrote to BHA asking why the barriers outside of Baja Norte were still in place when the restaurant had closed its doors? Originally installed as part of the LA Alfresco outdoor dining program (a program which the City Council recently voted to make permanent), the barriers were taking up precious parking spaces. BHA sprang into action and contacted Councilman Bonin's office who, working with LADOT, had the barriers removed within weeks. We're here to help! See something? Say something! Write your BHA at info@brentwoodhomeowners.org.
San Vicente Coral Trees A message from the Coral Tree Endowment Fund:
2020 was a year unlike anything most of us have seen in our lifetime. That pertains to our beautiful Coral Trees which have had their fair share of trauma. As a community, we have set our goals to care for our Coral Trees which started with a $1M campaign honoring Betty White back in 2011.
