Archer School Construction Update
The Archer School Board of Trustees has reassessed the School's long-term goals following the completion of upgrades and additions to their main building. The last phase of the Archer Forward project will now be comprised of a single-level Multipurpose Gym and will no longer include an underground gym, subterranean parking, a Performing Arts Center or a Visual Arts Center, which were part of the approved project.
The School has paused construction as they revise their architectural plans for the single level Gym. According to the School, the reduced Gym will generate less than half of the dirt hauling from the property compared to the approved project. Since there will be no underground parking garage under the athletic field, parking for the Multipurpose Gym will either be under the building or in surface parking adjacent to it. Construction for the new Multipurpose Gym will likely not start until the summer of 2021.
