Survey: Police Patrols

BHA Members, please take 5 minutes to fill out this survey in an effort to get more police patrols in our area. (We are Council District 11)

Councilmember Bonin and LAPD were on the panel at our 2018 Annual Meeting at which we urged more police presence in Brentwood and we need to show our support for this effort.

A Message From MIKE BONIN: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for input on a study that will help the Department improve patrol staffing, increase neighborhood police presence, and reduce response times in our communities.

This study is part of an effort I launched in 2017 to get more patrol officers in our neighborhoods. My “Back to Basic Car” initiative has already led to more than 600 LAPD officers being reassigned to community patrols, where they have an opportunity to get to know the neighborhoods they are keeping safe and to build relationships with the neighbors they work within the community.

Meet Your Firefighters

Saturday, May 11, is officially Fire Service Day in LA. If you get a chance, stop by Fire Station 19 on Sunset just west of Kenter and say hi to your local team. Through the BHA, you have supported the firefighters by providing meals and equipment. Individual board members also supplemented or matched those donations. If you would like to contribute, write us here and we can tell you how!

Power Line Trivia

- Did you know the third biggest threat to power lines after trees and wind is mylar balloons?

- Hate those unsightly power lines next to your house? You can bury them...for $1,200 a foot! Of course, that doesn't include the cost of hardscape or landscape restoration, or cable and telephone lines.

Look for the BHA booth at the Brentwood 5K Run on June 9!

We'll post more details nearer to the event.
